Drag strip times
I've only been once so far. Here are my numbers. I wasn't real happy with them, but I think I can do better. Ok, it was a hot humid day and traction wasn't too good but here are the numbers...

My friend Mike Shepherd took some videos of the runs. Check them out on my Pics and Movies page!
10/2/01 - The weather has recently dropped about 20-25 degrees F since the drag strip day and my car definitely feels faster. I have a couple projects to work on with the car including an exhaust leak fix (at the manifold) and a EGT gauge install. Once they are complete, I'm planning on another trip to the strip. Hope nothing breaks!
10/24/03 - TWO YEARS LATER... I finally make it back out to the drag strip for my 2nd time. Much cooler day than the previous trip. I brought my autocross tires to help hook up, but got a LOT of wheel hop...

On 4/27/07 - Four years since the last trip, I went out for a short trip to Clay City. I'm running a little more boost now (15-16psi) and a good dose of Torco fuel additive/octane booster. I ran a few times but here is my best. Notice that the 1/4 ET is about the same as before, but the1/4 mi mph is about 5mph more. Also take a look at my 60 ft time. Whoa, not too good. I am hoping to see under 13.5 if I can ever launch just right and hook up. I think it is doable if I practice.
My best 1/4 run was my first run: |
