Steering Wheel Cover
Since I had a base model miata, the steering wheel was just a basic plastic wheel. For a long time, my wife was the daily driver of this car and had a perforated, padded vinyl cover that was ok but could stand some improvement. When I started driving it daily, this was one thing that had to go. I chose the Wheelskins leather steering wheel cover and purchased it through Performance Buyers Club.
Installation took about an hour and a half to do it carefully. I was really impressed with how it turned out. I've had it on the car for a couple years and it has held up nicely. I occasionally use some Tanner's leather cleaner followed with a polish to keep it in good shape. It doesn't get too slippery at all - just renewed.
To go with the leather steering wheel wrap, I also got a leather shift boot and MOMO short anatomic shift knob. All components go together nicely without being too gaudy.
